Smartphone maker Nothing is preparing to launch its second handset Nothing Phone 2. The startup from Carl Pei, the former co-founder of popular smartphone company OnePlus, has confirmed the launch timeline for the Nothing Phone 2. This second generation smartphone will also be sold in the US.

The firm has not revealed the specifications of this smartphone. Compared to Nothing Phone 1, a more powerful processor can be given under the hood. Nothing has told in a statement given by email that Nothing Phone 2 will be launched in the summer season of this year. This indicates its launch between June and September. Along with this, the firm has told that this smartphone will also be sold in the US.

Apart from this, the firm has also reiterated the premiumness of its second generation smartphone. It will have Snapdragon 8 Series processor. However, it has not been told which Qualcomm chipset will be used in it. A Qualcomm executive had told in March that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC introduced last year would be given in this handset. Nothing has tweeted along with a GIF which shows the rear panel of the Nothing Phone 2. Red LED light is flashing in it. The tweet also contains a link to a landing page. However, there is no additional information on this page.

This smartphone can also be launched in India. It was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). A tipster had spotted it along with the model number and claimed that the smartphone has received BIS certification. The first smartphone of the firm was liked by the customers. Its upcoming smartphone can also get success. However, in India it may face tough competition from big smartphone makers like Apple, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, OnePlus and Lava.Apple and Samsung dominate the premium segment in the country's smartphone market. Last year, Apple made a sales record in the country. Apart from this, Apple has also planned to increase the production of iPhone in India.
